On the morning of March 16, 2023, the Ningbo International Commercial Court was established, making it the tenth international commercial court in China to be listed.

As the forefront of reform and opening up, Ningbo is located at the intersection of the "the Belt and Road" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is the only China CEEC economic and trade cooperation demonstration zone in China. The Ningbo court vigorously implements the high-quality trial project, actively providing services to ensure high-level "going out" and high-quality "bringing in". From 2012 to 2022, 16600 cases related to foreign affairs were concluded and resolved. As of January 1, 2023, both courts in Ningbo have obtained jurisdiction over foreign-related civil and commercial cases.

In order to implement the requirements of "coordinating the promotion of domestic and foreign rule of law", build a higher level of foreign trial system, and serve a higher level of opening up to the outside world, with the approval of the Supreme Court and the Provincial Party Committee, the Ningbo International Commercial Court has been officially established.

According to the approval of the Supreme Court, the Ningbo International Commercial Court has jurisdiction over the following cases:

（1） The first and second instance foreign-related civil and commercial cases that should be tried by the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court;

（2） Specific types of cases involving foreign-owned enterprises, letter of credit disputes, letter of guarantee disputes, etc. that should be tried by the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court;

（3） Arbitration judicial review cases and foreign mediation agreement confirmation cases that should be under the jurisdiction of the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court;

（4） Review cases for application for recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards that should be under the jurisdiction of the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court;

（5） Review cases for application for recognition and enforcement of foreign civil and commercial judgments and rulings under the jurisdiction of the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court;

（6） Other international civil and commercial judicial assistance cases that should be under the jurisdiction of the Ningbo Intermediate People's Court.
